When you decide to go for a kitesurfing trip to Latin America, there is a 98% chance you will go to Brazil, while a happy few will decide to choose other countries and avoiding the crowds. One of the other best destinations for kitesurfing in Latin America is Peru.

A vote by the Olympic committee back in 2012 resulted in the conclusion that windsurfing as an event would be replaced by kitesurfing in the 2016 Summer Olympiad. For us kitesurfing enthusiasts it was an exciting day, one that was short lived when the controversial decision was reversed leading up to the Rio Games.
